Need lab testing without first getting a doctor’s order? Mobile Drug Testing offers eligible consumer lab tests that you can request for yourself. A doctor’s order is not required for eligible tests. Availability and requirements depend on the test, laboratory, location, and applicable law.
How consumer lab testing works
- Choose the test you need and confirm it is available for your location.
- Follow that test’s ordering, identification, and specimen collection instructions.
- Arrange any required collection service and watch for results through the laboratory’s designated delivery process.
Collection options vary by test and order. Contact us before ordering if you need a blood draw or are unsure which collection service is available.
Do I need a doctor’s order for consumer lab testing?
For eligible consumer lab tests, you can request testing without a doctor’s order. Some tests, laboratories, or locations may require a prescription, clinician authorization, or other documentation. Check the requirements for your specific test before ordering.
Are my lab test results private?
Your results are delivered to you through the laboratory’s result process. They are not shared with others without your authorization, except when disclosure is required by applicable law. The laboratory’s instructions explain how to access your results.
Can I order any lab test for myself?
No. Consumer availability depends on the test, laboratory, location, eligibility rules, and applicable law. Contact us if you want help confirming whether a test is available to you.
